Here is an old Alfa Romeo, created in 1983 The new Spider featured some important changes in exterior design, including new rubber-made bumpers that were not very well-received by the Alfa Romeo customers. Its first facelift happened three years later, in 1986, featuring newly-designed side skirts, mirrors and spoilers.

“Now you can’t tell me that seeing these cars on the road wouldn’t make you smile. Especially when it is in that hot red colour, it makes my day seeing old cars just like this one. I believe that these cars although they are very bad for the environment due to the emissions from the engine, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t have cars that look like this. I mean, when did we stop making cars that look sleek and fast, and start making cars that look like they’re from the future”

The Alfa Romeo club was created to show everyone that old cars were just as stylish as the modern day counterparts, touring the UK showing off the cars to the public was a great idea. The owner has said that the main goal is to “show off the cars” The club consists of 1200 people and around 560 cars, which travel across the country to show off and parade the cars around. Although the Romeo is an Italian designer, more were sold in the UK, it’s like the car equivalent of curry. The club was founded in 1999 after the internet was really established allowing people to come together over their love of cars. It’s sweet that all these people have come together over their love of cars, especially such a nice and attractive car.

“I would like to see more types of car groups touring the UK this summer, however it does take some coordination and brains to manage a group of 1200 people, especially transporting that amount of cars, but in the end it’s really worth it. The group consists of over 50 types of cars which are located all through the UK in all sorts of conditions, it’s a real task”

Currently the club has another 37 destinations to visit in the north of England, including places like Liverpool, Knowsley, Manchester and Carlisle.

“The plans have been quite successful and don’t think that the bad English weather will stop people from showing up and enjoying themselves. All the events have catering and toilet facilities and can be a great day out for the whole family. It cost’s nothing to get into the event.

On behalf of the Rawcliffe Hall Classic Car Enthusiasts, we would like to invite all owners of any make of classic vehicle from the 1940’s to 1970’s to join us for a great weekend at Rawcliffe Hall, just 7 miles to the East of Blackpool, Lancashire. The event which starts on Friday 7th July 2017 and finishes on Sunday 9th JuIy will be a great opportunity to meet other owners, and have a great time taking part in various activities which will include a road run through spectacular Local countryside visiting places of interest. Also included will be a Concours D’elegance with a major trophy for overall winner, and a great Free Rock ‘n’ Roll extravaganza on the Saturday night - plus other items.”

Overall it sounds like a great day out, if you look on the website North West car festivals you can check all the dates where the festival is on, you can also check the weather and how long it will take to get there. There is also another website that you can look at on the Alfa Romeo fan club where you can see where the cars are going next. Hopefully there will be more car festivals in the coming years and will gain more attention, there’s a whole world of motorsport out there and people need to see what cars were like at a time of great progress, from the 1960 – 2000’s.
